Certification(s) in the Fitness Industry are a must!

Fitness professionals are a growing and essential part of the allied health industry. So, how is someone to know whether the fitness professional they hired (or are simply following on social media) is, in fact, a truly qualified pro? The answer lies in being accredited. Don't be afraid to ask if your trainer or instructor has accredited certifications. Also, check with your trainer or instructor about their current CPR and First Aid. There are currently no national or state licensing requirements for working as a personal trainer like there are for doctors, chiropractors, massage therapists, physical therapists, and athletic trainers. With no licensing requirements, anyone can claim to be a fitness professional and offer personal training services.  You are worth it!
